Alkofeia

A Palestinian restaurant chain that tells its story in Arabic and English.

Overview

Bilingual restaurant website for a Palestinian dining brand with branches in Riyadh, Jeddah and Bahrain.

Alkofeia serves Palestinian home cooking in a setting built around heritage. The website has to do three jobs: tell that story with feeling, help guests find the nearest branch, and send them to the menu. It runs right to left in Arabic with a full English version, and shows each branch with its photo, map link and Google rating.

Inside the website

The parts of this build that do the actual work, and how each one is put together.

Alkofeia website, hero section

01

Arabic-first, not Arabic-translated

A Palestinian restaurant chain in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain: the site is laid out right to left from the start, with the headline set in calligraphy rather than a default web font, and English available as the second language.

How it is built
  • Full right-to-left layout; Aref Ruqaa calligraphy for headlines, Cairo for body text
  • Arabic and English switch in the top bar, next to the phone number and country
  • Background slideshow of real guests and dishes inside a rounded frame

02

Branches with maps, ratings and the numbers behind them

Riyadh, Bahrain and Jeddah, each with its real photo, a map link and its Google rating with the review count, over animated counters showing 4 restaurants, 310+ staff and 7.8M+ visitors.

How it is built
  • One card per branch with a location-on-the-map button, plus a Google Maps block below
  • Ratings and review counts used as the trust signal instead of written claims
  • Counters animate when they scroll into view

03

A menu the restaurant updates without a developer

Restaurant menus change constantly. This one opens as a PDF the team replaces from the dashboard, so a price change never needs a code change.

How it is built
  • Menu button links to a PDF file, swapped from the media library
  • Split layouts with dish collages and text on a red panel
  • Separate route into the atmosphere gallery for the visit, not the food

04

Press coverage as outside proof

What they said about Alkofeia collects coverage from Al Arabiya, Sky News Arabia and others. Claims about heritage mean more when somebody else makes them.

How it is built
  • Gallery of press screenshots with zoom and download
  • Read-more link into the news section

05

Sister brands and a blog that keeps the site alive

The group runs Barnyard, Fokhara, Hekayet Bahr and others, each with one line and a route out. Below them, the latest posts appear by themselves.

How it is built
  • Logo cards per sister brand
  • Blog cards from the Posts widget, so new articles surface without editing the page
  • Shared footer template with branches, menu, investors and franchise links
