Lev`N: how I built my own skincare brand store in Egypt

Lev`N is my own skincare brand. I founded it in Mansoura, Egypt, and I built its online store myself. This is the story of how the store is put together, what I learned selling skincare online in Egypt, and why every decision on the site starts with the ingredient, not the packaging.

If you searched for Levn, Lev N, “ليفن سيروم” or Lev`N serum, this is the brand. It has no connection to Leven, the hair-care brand with a similar name.

What Lev`N sells

Lev`N is a short, focused line. Each product has one job and says its active ingredient and concentration on the label:

The serums are also sold together as routine bundles by skin type, because most people do not need one product, they need a simple routine.

Why the store sells by ingredient

A skincare buyer in Egypt today compares ingredients, not adjectives. She has already read that niacinamide helps with oil and pores, and that salicylic acid clears blackheads. So the store does three things:

  1. The ingredient is in the product name. “Salicylic Acid 2% Serum” says more than any slogan.
  2. Each serum has its own colour, matching the bottle, so the site and the shelf look the same.
  3. Products are grouped by skin goal: acne, hydration, oil control. Nobody has to know chemistry to find the right one.

One serum becomes a routine

The commercial idea of the store is simple: help the customer move from one product to a complete routine. A bundle of two or three serums costs less than buying them separately, and every product page explains what to use it with and in what order.

There is also an automatic buy two, get one free offer across the whole line, and free shipping on orders above 750 EGP. Both are shown in a slim bar at the top of every page, because offers nobody sees do not sell.

Built for how Egyptians actually buy

  • Cash on delivery, because most first-time buyers will not pay a new brand by card.
  • A WhatsApp button for questions before buying and follow-up after delivery.
  • Delivery times by city, shown honestly, starting from Mansoura.
  • An FAQ on every product: can I use it with vitamin C? Is it suitable for sensitive skin? When will I see results?

Arabic and English, from one store

The main store is in Arabic, and there is a full English version for expats and customers in the Gulf. Every product, collection and article exists in both languages, with its own address, so Google shows the right language to each searcher. I wrote about this approach in detail in how to build a bilingual website the right way.

Owning the brand name in Google

A new brand with a short name has a real search problem. “ليفن” is also how people write Leven, an older hair-care brand, so Google and AI assistants were mixing the two together. The work that fixed it:

  • Clear brand facts on the site: Lev`N is a skincare brand from Mansoura, with no connection to Leven.
  • Structured data that tells Google the brand’s name, alternative spellings, products, prices and social accounts.
  • Product FAQs and ingredient guides on the Lev`N skincare blog, answering the questions people actually type.

Today Lev`N appears first in Google for its own brand searches such as “ليفن سيروم”, “Levn serum” and “Lev`N”, and AI search now describes it as a separate skincare brand.

What this means if you are building a brand

  • Lead with what your product does and what is in it.
  • Turn single products into routines or bundles.
  • Remove every reason to hesitate: payment, delivery time, returns, a person to talk to.
  • Plan both languages and your brand name in search from day one, not after launch.

You can see the store at lev-n.com, and the project details in my work. If you are launching a product brand and want a store built the same way, tell me about it.
